To make matters even more stressful, in-person prenatal classes have all been cancelled due to COVID-19. So, what do new parents do?
One of Baby Whisperers biggest missions is education. Luckily, we have done some research and put together some wonderful resources to help expecting moms and dads navigate their prenatal care during COVID-19.
Oceanside Physical Therapy
After some extensive searching, we found a great free online course that covers the entire birth experience from before to after birth. The course is organized by Oceanside Physical Therapy, but has input and videos from multiple experts. You can sign up for this class here. You can also visit their regular website here.
Motherly
Motherly is offering their Online Birth Class for FREE!
Baby Center
This is a good class that goes over the basics of labor. It is free and you can find it here.
This site also has a ton of videos on the pregnancy process in general. You can find those here.
Boot Camp for New Dads
… because dads need to learn stuff too! Although this class is not free, it IS online and only $35. That cost includes a book. Find out more here.
Breastfeeding
This site provides a free online breastfeeding course, you can find it here. There are many online breastfeeding courses that cost money. If you don’t mind spending a little, another good one is from Madela, and you can find that here.
Lamaze
Free online Lamaze course found here!
Podcasts!
Even though it isn’t as interactive, podcasts are so wonderful for providing real life information and examples. We plan to do an article on our top favorite Parenting podcasts. Until then, our favorites for pregnancy are: The Birth Hour, Big Fat Positive, and Pregnancy Podcast.
